A fantastic terracotta Mexican sculpture of Chacmool, the Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican effigy. These sculptures symbolize slain warriors carrying offerings to the gods. Often the bowl that he holds is used to hold sacrificial offerings, including tamales, tortillas, tobacco, feathers and incense. This is from an estate sale and dates back to the 70s or 80s. In great vintage condition.
